Our client, a leading global publishing services business that serves researchers, universities, journals, publishers and government institutions, requires a new Senior Manager for Sales & Business Development based out of the South Korea office.
We are seeking a well-networked and dedicated sales professional to drive business development opportunities across the region, working with academics, researchers, publishers, and universities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the existing portfolio of B2B accounts and generating new business through diligent cross-selling and upselling.
- Explore opportunities for new sales/business development from new accounts, including developing business for AI-powered tools and solutions.
- Frequent field visits and in-person meetings are required with regular communication with clients.
- Build and manage high-level clients, strategic partnerships and relationships with universities, research institutes, hospitals, Publishers, etc to promote their academic editing, translation services and AI solutions portfolio.
- Recruit and manage channel partners wherever required for business expansion.
- Involvement in strategy development and execution for the region, aligned with our organisational goals and targets, in close consultation with top management.
- Analyse and brief in-house departments (Marketing, Client Servicing, CRM etc.) on market trends, business environment, govt. policies etc.
- Should be comfortable in dealing with Management level / senior level contacts in Academia (Universities/Research institutes) and non-Academia/Corporate domains regularly.
Skills & Experience:
- Sales experience (High-value/Revenue) within the STM/Academic domain in South Korea
- Upselling and Cross-selling leading to new revenue generations
- Lead generation – Key Account Management – Existing B2B Growth
- Exposure to Sales CRM
- Experience in selling technology solutions / SaaS enterprise sales would be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English
