Jasmin Lange is to join BSL Media and Learning, formerly known as Bohn Stafleu van Loghum (BSL), part of Springer Nature Group, as Managing Director, based in Houten, Netherlands.
Ms Jasmin Lange joins from De Gruyter Brill where she held the role of Chief Publishing Officer, having worked for the publisher for 13 years across various editorial and business development roles specialising in M&A and open access. She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from her various leadership positions within academia, publishing and the book trade, whilst also holding a PhD in book and media studies from the University of Mainz and a master’s degree in business management. Until recently Jasmin was also a member of the STM board,and Social Sciences and Humanities board of The Dutch Research Council (NWO).
On the appointment Joachim Krieger, Managing Director, Education, Health, Professional and Consumer Media, said:

In her new role Jasmin will be responsible for continuing to lead the transformation of BSL into a more digital organisation, focusing on sustainability for the future. Building out its offerings for the needs of today’s researchers, BSL remains committed to delivering cutting edge solutions to drive forward knowledge and impact for the health and medical communities.

Jasmin succeeds Paul Emons who has held the role with BSL since 2023 and leaves the company for personal reasons. Jasminwill join the company on 15 July where she will be supported by Paul until his leave date on 15 August.
